Stainless Steel Workboat Propellers
100 Years of Experience
|
Kahlenberg began manufacturing marine propellers at the turn of the century. At that time, our propellers were supplied as an accessory item with engines of the same name. Naturally, the experience gained in the design and manufacture of propellers during the past 100 years is a priceless heritage passed on to our customers in the form of better propellers, correctly designed for superior strength and performance.

Quality Design
|
Kahlenberg Industries is most widely known for designing rugged and dependable work boat propellers. The greatest single reason for the unsurpassed strength of Kahlenberg Propellers is that they are designed to exceed industry standards with regard to blade root and blade edge thickness. This provides for greater resistance to damage.
We utilize the latest propeller design software, and reference over 40 years of accumulated vessel records kept in our database. By using both of these resources, we give our customers the added security and confidence that their Kahlenberg Propellers are the best available for their particular application. Especially when considering a propeller for use in shallow or debris filled waters, know that heavy duty workboat propellers designed by Kahlenberg will keep you in operation, not in dry dock.

Quality Manufacturing

 | MRI Computer Scanning of Propellers up to 54" in diameter |
Kahlenberg primarily manufactures and repairs three to five blade fixed pitch propellers up to ten feet in diameter. We manufacture to our own designs as well as those supplied by the customer, routinely following ISO R484 and ABS guidelines. ABS Certification of Kahlenberg Propellers is also available. Accurately machined propeller hub bores are assured by blue-fitting with precision machined taper mandrels, while accurate pitch is attained through the use of a Hale M.R.I. Propeller Scanning System. Static balancing is standard practice, with dynamic balancing available as an option. All Kahlenberg Propellers are cast and completely manufactured within the U.S.A.
Most importantly for custom propeller manufacturing, we have maintained a solid base of skilled craftsmen who take great pride in their work. These skilled technicians give us the ability to manufacture or repair fixed pitch propellers for almost any requirement or specification. |
Proven Materials
|
The preferred material utilized in our propeller manufacturing process is CF3 Low Carbon Stainless Steel. When considering the overall benefits of this material in terms of strength, corrosion resistance, and repairability, CF3 Low Carbon is the best material for inland work boat use. For other industrial applications such as use in mixing vats, and in water treatment facilities, Kahlenberg also manufactures propellers of cast iron and steel.

The Complete Propulsion System
|
|
Consider the added security of having Kahlenberg Industries manufacture and supply all of your fixed pitch propulsion components. We will blue-fit and pre-assemble all components at our facility prior to shipment, eliminating the possibility of improper fit, and reducing the potential for unwanted vibration. |
